Well played Eccles!

Man of the Match: Mick Connor.
Captain Dave Toole chose “Mick Connor as Man of the Match for agreeing to play at the last minute to stop Eccles defaulting a board. Mick was closely followed by Mike Surtees for beating Super Strong Lady player form Stockport, Sarah Longson.

Only a couple of A Division matches left to play in the Stockport League after the Eccles v Chorlton Cup Final Thursday 09/05/24. Both remaining matches will be played against Macclesfield home and away and if we win both I think Eccles would have won the Stockport League. Considering this is the 1st time Eccles have entered a team in the Stockport League we have played really well to get this far. Captain Dave Toole has done a brilliant job carrying Eccles through two A Division and B Division teams in the Stockport and Manchester Autumn/Winter Leagues 2023/24. Thanks Dave, Eccles Chess & ChAMPS couldn’t have done it with you!
