August 2026: Summer League Match Results
Another great month of chess for Team Eccles!
August was a very busy month as we moved towards the closing stages of the Summer League. This is often the time of year when fixtures begin to pile up, with postponed matches, rearrangements and cup commitments all adding to an already busy schedule.
Despite that, Eccles continued to field five teams and our players once again showed tremendous commitment and team spirit.
During August we played 10 matches, winning 6, drawing 3 and losing just 1. Across those matches, Eccles scored 37 board points against 15 for our opponents.
As we head into the final part of the season, we may need players to step in at short notice. So if you are asked to play and are available, please do your best to say yes and help us keep that fantastic Eccles team spirit going.
A huge thank you to everyone who has played, captained, organised and supported the teams throughout the season. The results really do speak for themselves.
