About Us

Eccles Community Chess is for people from surrounding areas who want to play friendly and ECF-rated games.

We host regular Social Chess Nights on Wednesdays and Ladies Learning Chess Nights on Mondays from 7pm until late. We are open to everyone of all different levels of to learn and play chess in a friendly and welcoming environment. From beginner to Grand Master all are welcome and encouraged to learn and play better chess.

Eccles Community Chess (ECC) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to: promoting the joys and the benefits of playing chess; hosting weekly games and chess tournaments over the board (OTB). We are a friendly club with over 50 active chess players, you will be made to feel more than welcome no matter your chess background, culture or nationality.
